Software Security Specialist – Consultant

About the Role:

We are currently looking to hire a Software Security Specialist Consultant to help us improve the quality of code on a very specific project, in line with security best practice. This role will suit a senior developer who has moved into cyber security across mobile, web and video, who has also successfully dealt with senior level stakeholders at corporate level.

PLEASE NOTE: This is an immediate start and therefore notice periods cannot be considered. Please also note that this is a contract role for 6 months.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake design/architecture reviews
• Engage with development teams
• Undertake threat modelling exercises with development teams
• Review, isolate and analyse potential vulnerabilities in the products and work with development teams to enhance code security
• Provide training on secure coding best practices

Required Experience:

• Experience in web application and API security
• Expert level knowledge of C#, Typescript, Javascript, Swift, Kotlin, Java, T-SQL, React.js, Node.js, HTML, CSS, REST, gRPC
• Working knowledge of Sonarqube, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Redis, Swagger
• Demonstrable knowledge of attack methodologies, and TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, Procedures) to discover potential issues within code
• Working knowledge of OWASP and BSIMM
• Knowledge of PCI DSS, ISO27000 series, and GDPR

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with video workflow and live technology such as Azure AMS, AWS Media Live, FFMPEG, LL-HLS, MPEG-DASH, DRM
