About the Role:
This role will suit an independent, collaborative, and experienced Web UI Developer, with expertise in using build tools (e.g., Webpack, Grunt or Gulp), strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript, a background (or a keen interest) in the Video/OTT industry and, a natural eye for excellent UI/UX implementation using bootstrap or material UI.
Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality, reusable, and scalable code
- Provide guidance on implementation and design best practices to other developers
- Produce design artifacts i.e., class diagrams and sequence diagrams for libraries features or client solutions
- Implement product features, new features and enhance existing code
- Participate in Agile sprint planning sessions
- Help the Product Management team with high-level estimation and clarification of technical implementation of features
- Prepare software packages for deployment
- Generate product documentation for releases
- Mentor Junior developers throughout the SDLC
Required Experience:
- Exposure to software development using OTT technologies and 5+ years overall experience
- Designing and implementing enterprise grade software
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, and an understanding of browser development challenges
- Familiarity with browser API’s and libraries
- UI/UX implementation experience on Web browsers using bootstrap or material UI
- Experience in using build tools like Webpack or Grunt or Gulp or similar tools
- Understanding of code obfuscation & encryption techniques
- Understanding of multimedia content delivery protocols such as HLS, DASH
- Experience using media players on various browsers
- Understanding of distributed multi-tier infrastructure

- Tizen and LG WebOS
- Framework/library development
- Git, GitHub, and Git Flow
- UI/UX implementation on iOS
- Automated testing on Web Browsers
