Node.JS Developer

About the Role:

This role is for a Senior Node.js Developer and is suitable for someone who works well independently, collaborates effectively, and has extensive experience in this domain. We are looking for a natural leader who enjoys mentoring and training junior developers. You should feel comfortable taking charge, making decisions, and possess a creative mindset. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Develop end-to-end API functionality
• Ensure that the software meets all the necessary requirements and is considered complete
• Provide feedback and raise concerns about the technical vision and target architecture when necessary
• Assist with managing the sprint backlog and estimating the size of tasks
• Maintain code quality by implementing unit tests
• Strive to keep the environments stable and reliable
• Encourage and uphold a culture of DevOps throughout the team

Required Experience:

• At least 5 years' experience working on enterprise-level software
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express.js
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience in API development
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL
• Proficiency in JavaScript test frameworks like Jest (or others)
• Must have experience working in an Agile environment
• Fluent technical English, and an excellent communicator with your team members

Bonus Skills (but not a deal breaker):

• Git, Bitbucket, or Bitbucket runner
• AWS and Kubernetes (or other cloud deployment and(CI/CD)
• Experience in the VOD/OTT industry
