Test Automation Engineer

About the Role:

This role is for a Senior Test Automation Engineer and will suit a smart, experienced, creative, and naturally inquisitive Tester, who has a strong passion for testing and technology. We need someone that believes in the importance of embodying our clients’ brand into the overall experience, and has a strong understanding, or interest of TV apps. Kindly note that this role requires our employees to work on-site in Mumbai or Bangalore.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Monitor debugging process results
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and execute testing activities
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies

 Required Experience:

• Proven work experience in web-based quality assurance best practices
• Experience in web-based performance and load testing
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Strong experience with automated testing tools (e.g. JMeter, Selenium)
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Experience in working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous build

 Bonus Skills:

• Experience with High Traffic Public Web Sites
• Experience with security testing
• Knowledge of scalability and performance challenges of server-side code
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Javascript, C#)
• Experience with the Cloud (e.g. Azure, GCP)
